Why natural wax
Rapeseed and soy wax, are both a natural wax they are eco-friendly for the environment, have a low carbon footprint – rapeseed is grown all over Europe, all the yellow fields you see in the summer are fields of rapeseed. It does not create harmful toxins like paraffin. Like soy wax, rapeseed wax is all-natural. It's biodegradable, jars after use can be cleaned up with hot soapy water and reused.
Why pottery
The art of pottery is oftentimes described as therapeutic and relaxing. While spinning clay, your mind and body are in natural synergy, wrapped around your creative ambitions and goals. This thoughtful, artistic activity can open up the mind and relieve you of outside worries.

About me
Homemade Giftshop is an independent small local business based on the outskirts of Munich, Germany. My whole life I've dreamed about creating, creating art and being able to do this for a living. Since 2020 I'm a small business owner. I've prided myself on producing high-quality and very artistic products that are easy on the environment.
All ceramics are handmade, fired and glazed in my home studio.
All of my candles are hand-poured in small batches .
Eco-friendly packaging
Since starting Homemade Giftshop, I'm trying proactively to avoid using plastic packaging. For my parcels, I'm using paper tape, shredded recycled paper, eco air cousins. I'm always looking for creative, attractive, and environmentally friendly packaging solutions.
I know myself how frustrating it can be to receive items filled with polystyrene or bubble wrap, so I'm trying to do everything I possibly can to operate responsibly and keep the environment in mind.
I'm committed to using recyclable and reusable materials.
Trimming wick
Have you ever bought a brand new candle only to watch the glass jar turn black and smoky? – simply trim your wick between burns!
Trimming the wick to 5mm (around 1/4”) between each burn will make your candle burn much cleaner and brighter with less smoky residue, and also make your candle last much longer and continue to fill your room with a lovely fragrance.
Trimming the wick is really easy. You can use a plain old pair of scissors to do it ,or you might want to invest in a wick trimmer .
